Many free Kontakt instruments have a “full version only” disclaimer, but this isn’t exactly true: Kontakt Player will load third-party instruments just fine for 15 minutes, at which point you just have to reload the VST. If you find a free instrument you like, don’t wait to download it. Shamisen & Koto are the major ones ive known off. Some Japanese instruments are kinda similar to Chinese's. Kong Audio also has some similar Chinese ethnic instruments like Sheng which is also used by Japanese (sounds a bit like oriental version of bagpipe ensemble). Japanese also has some sort of wind instrument which sounds a bit like saxophone.

There are two alternative installers available:

• The update updates an existing Dark Planet 1.0 installation to Dark Planet 1.1.
• Use the full version, if Dark Planet hasn't been installed on your system yet.
